Take the time out to have a go at snow shoeing, among the snow and ice, and see for yourself the jaw dropping winter views across the Wakatipu Basin, a mile above Queenstown.

Take in the snow covered mountain vistas at your own pace while snowshoeing in The Remarkables!

Depending on conditions, we can either walk up to a frozen lake with the highest peaks towering above, or climb to a ridgeline with panoramic views, as well as enjoy a hot cuppa in the snow.

This is an amazing half day, tailored to your needs. This snow shoe journey is achievable by anybody that’s willing to get active (ages 7+). There is a moderate uphill hike (approx 30-45mins) to reach the crest of the ridge, and some of the best views that Queenstown has to offer!

The overnight snowshoe option allows you to have a once in a life time experience of sleeping in a snow cave, as well as star gazing while you enjoy a satisfying meal and hot drinks.

This is a real snow adventure in a true alpine environment. The Remarkables Range offers fantastic terrain to explore and experience the snow. Our trips are suitable for all people of any age (7+) and most fitness levels. We keep our groups small, so its ideal if you are seeking a rewarding, scenic snow experience, away from the crowds.

The Queenstown Snowshoe tour is achievable by anybody of moderate fitness.

Overnight Snowshoe

The Pisa Conservation Area is 23,000 ha of stunning high country overlooking the Upper Clutha and Wakatipu basins, and beyond to the Southern Alps. The Pisa Range is the highest of Central Otago’s fault block mountains and consists of very distinctive land-forms and ecological systems.

Enjoy a gentle exploration of these phenomenal ranges, with unique winter features, expansive views, a distinct sense of accomplishment and adventure. Suitable for most abilities and ages, this adventure is great for family, friends and experienced hikers alike.
