Excellent introduction to being safe in the backcountry. Half day of theory and then a full day on the mountain. So much learned and importantly practised. High teacher to student ratio so easy to ask lots of questions. Instructors Neal and Cam were clearly experienced in the mountains and clear and concise with their instruction. Practised using an avalanche transceiver to find someone trapped. More importantly learned how to be safe by understanding how avalanches form due to weather, angle, aspect and altitude.
