Rock Climbing
Experience the raw adventure and excitement of rock climbing in the adventure driven Queenstown. Under the professional instruction of your guide feel your body and mind work together as you reach new heights.
We have a selection of cliffs with varying difficulty and exclusive rights to some of the routes we use adding to the "away from it all" feeling you get when you're out on the rock faces.
All technical equipment including rock shoes will be provided. Your safety is paramount to us, that's why all of our rock climbing instructors have New Zealand Outdoor Instructors Association qualifications (NZOIA) and our instructor to client ration is kept at a maximum of 1:4.
Our Instructors have an extensive knowledge of the Wakatipu area and are extremely enthusiastic, catering for a variety of climbing abilities.
Half Day Rock Climbing - $169
This actioned packed 4 hours requires no previous experience. Feel the natural rock under your finger tips as you scale the Queenstown cliff faces. Due to the extreme nature of this activity we have low client to instructor ratios, as safety is paramount to us. We have a selection of climbs from low angle to extreme overhangs.
Full Day Rock Climbing - Beginner $295
Welcome to the realm of Rock Climbing. Our Introduction day covers basic climbing techniques in a remote and stunning location. Expect no crowds and a relaxed learning environment with some of the best rock climbers in the region. The emphasis is on learning the current techniques, however also expect to do lots of climbing, this day is very rewarding.
Full Day Rock Climbing - Experienced ( Private guiding ) $400 1 person or $600 for two people
We are the local experts in the Queenstown area. If you are looking for a multi pitch adventure, alpine rock climbing, hard sport climbing, learning trad climbing or just want to up skill this is the day for you.
3 day course - Beginner - $750 (Minimum of 2 people) Runs between Nov - April
This course is the perfect introduction to rock climbing and is designed to give you a solid grounding in modern climbing techniques. Our instructors are very passionate and patient individuals with years of experience. We run a maximum ratio 1:4 as we want the instruction to be personal and enhance you learning. All course return to Queenstown at the end of the day, please note the course price does not include accommodation. However all technical equipment is provided.
3 day course - Advanced - $850 (Minimum of 2 people)
For the serious rock climber wanting to advance or brush up their skills. These 3 days are actioned packed with lots of technical tips along the way. It is expected that clients can climb grade 17 on top rope and it would be an advantage to have some lead climbing experience. Expected to be tested, however the learning environment is still relaxed and friendly, as the instructors want you to achieve a new level skill. The course returns daily to Queenstown, accommodation is not included in the course price. However all technical equipment is provided.
The "Combo" Rock/Abseil Experience
This 6 hour experience will leave you with the sublime satisfaction of a complete adventure day. Either choose rock climbing or the Via Ferrata and both of these activities will be complemented with a thrilling abseil. After the morning activities your guide will transport you back into town for a quick lunch, once fueled up it's off for some more adventure. This activity requires no previous experience and is a great introduction to the rock, rungs, rope and is perfect for a group of friend or a family.
